Polarizing microscopy is a microscope for identifying the optical properties of the fine structure of matter. The polarizing microscope is a method of changing ordinary light into polarized light for microscope inspection to identify whether a substance is a single refraction (isotropy) or birefringence (anisotropy). Therefore, polarizing microscopes are widely used in the fields of minerals, biology, and chemistry. In biology and chemicals, many structures also have birefringence, which needs to be observed and distinguished by a polarizing microscope.
