Core application scenarios
Geological exploration and prospecting
Application:Geologists collect samples of rocks, soils, sediments, etc. in the field, which are fed into a jaw crusher for coarse crushing and then finely ground to a very fine powder using a grinder.
Purpose:Homogeneous powder samples are fed into XRF(INNOVA provide portable XRF Analyzer), ICP-MS/OES and other equipment for analysis to accurately determine the content of various elements in the samples, thereby identifying mineralized zones, evaluating the potential of the deposits and delineating the target areas.
Mine production and grade control
Application:During mine production, there is a constant need to sample the mined ore, which is quickly sent to a laboratory where it is crushed and ground to make samples for analysis.
Purpose:Rapidly analyze the content of useful elements (e.g. gold, silver, copper, iron), which is the core basis for calculating production, evaluating economic benefits and conducting ore valuation. According to the analysis results of different grade ores, it guides the mining and mixing of ores, ensures that the grade of the ores sent to the processing plant is stable, and improves the processing efficiency and recovery rate.
Beneficiation process research and optimization
Application:In a mineral processing plant, there is a need to investigate how to most efficiently separate valuable minerals from ore by grinding ore samples to a specific particle size, which is a prerequisite for conducting mineral processing tests.
Purpose:By controlling different grinding finenesses, the best conditions for mineral monomer dissociation are studied, so as to optimize the whole beneficiation process, improve concentrate grade and recovery, and reduce energy consumption and cost.
Environmental monitoring and tailings analysis
Application:Mining activities produce tailings and waste rock that may contain heavy metals, and environmental samples are ground for sampling.
Purpose:Analyze their content of harmful elements, monitor for environmental pollution and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
The mill plays the role of "sample preparation expert" in the mining industry. Although it is not the production equipment that directly generates economic benefits, it is the cornerstone to guarantee the accuracy of geological data, the stability of production process, the reliability of resource assessment and the maximization of economic benefits. From the first line of exploration to the last hurdle of ore dressing, it is indispensable to have this kind of efficient and precise laboratory equipment.
